A linear guide has two shafts (1, 2) which are mounted parallel to and next to one another in supports (5) and are surrounded by at least one guiding body, the two shafts (1, 2) and the guiding body (3) being displaceable relative to one another in the longitudinal direction of the shafts. On their mutually facing sides, each of the two shafts (1, 2) has a shape which differs from the circular at least in one region (6) of the circumference and, in this region (6) of the circumference, rest against one another. <IMAGE>
