In order to transmit light between a light source (13), a detection surface (1) and an optoreceiver (16), use is made, for an ice detector, in particular an ice warning sensor, of an optical fibre bundle (206) which is spliced into two component bundles (204, 205) over a part of its length. The light source (13) is mounted on the one end of the one component bundle (204), and the optoreceiver (16) is mounted on the end of the other component bundle (205).
