Hanging file guide card (1) for hanging file cabinets, with a first suspension (6) arranged on one longitudinal edge (4) of the guide card (1) for releasably attaching the guide card (1) to a supporting rail in the hanging file cabinet, and having a holder (10) formed on one lateral edge (7,8) of the guide card (1), onto which holder an identifying tag can be pushed in a position extending transversely to the plane of the guide card, a second suspension (5), designed to be symmetrical relative to the centre of the first suspension (6) being arranged on the edge (3) lying opposite the longitudinal edge (4) of the guide card (1), and a mounting (10) being located at the end of the guide card (1) opposite the lateral edge (8), onto which mounting the identifying tag (11) can be pushed in a position lying in the plane of the guide card. <IMAGE>
