PURPOSE:To obtain a color photographic sensitive material having high color reproducibility, giving a color image which is stable during storage in the dark and under irradiated light, preventing fog and reduction in the sensitivity during development, and undergoing no change in the performance even when a coating liq. and a support coated with the liq. are stored for a long time, by incorporating a specified pyrazoloazole type magenta coupler and a specified sensitizing dye into an emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:An emulsion layer contg. a pyrazoloazole type magenta coupler represented by formula I and a sensitizing dye represented by formula A, B or C is formed. The preferred amount of the sensitizing dye in the emulsion layer is 4X10<-5>-1X10<-3>mol per 1mol silver halide. A dye produced form the magenta coupler represented by the formula I causes hardly secondary absorption in the red and blue light regions, has stability in the dark and under irradiated light, and stains hardly the white ground. The sensitizing dye prevents fog and reduction in the sensitivity. |
