PURPOSE:To manufacture high quality bend pipes with good productivity by moving bending positions one after the other turning a straight pipe by a specified angle for bending the straight pipe at both right and left sides. CONSTITUTION:The straight pipe P is held by a chuck 11 of a bending direction setter 2. A cylinder 32 actuates a transmission chain 21 to move an entire frame 22 to a specified bending position. Action of a cylinder 31 rocks automatic bending units 3 and 3' then the pipe P is set between a forming roller 25, a receiver 26, and a bending roller 28. Action of a cylinder 29 makes the bending roller 28 revolve around the forming roller 25 and the straight pipe P is bent. A cylinder 36 is actuated to determine a turning position of a rotation controller 19 so that a ring part 6 is moved in the folding direction and the chuck 11 is turned by a specified angle. At the same time, the automatic bending units 3 and 3' are moved to the bending position and perform bending. Those operations are repeated one after the other to perform a specified number of bendings. |
