PURPOSE: A stereoscopic video display device and a driving method thereof are provided to selectively use a view source appropriately to a user's panel view mode by generating a stereoscopic video by extracting views as many as panel views from a multi-view input image received from a broadcasting system. CONSTITUTION: A stereoscopic panel(140) separates the light by selectively blocking light output from a pixel into a left-eye image and a right eye image. A timing controller(110) extracts views as many as panel views at least two required for a panel using a multi-view input video received from a broadcasting system. The timing controller generates one video data. A data driving unit(120) converts the video data to an analog video data signal.
