PURPOSE:To effectively remove dusts, by providing an impingement plate having an opening in a portion of a gas flow passage, a hopper for discharging dusts under said plate, and a baffle plate on the downstream side of said hopper. CONSTITUTION:An impingement plate 4 is attached to the inside wall of a duct 2 in the downward direction in the flow passage of flue gases 1. The impingement plate 4 has a plurality of openings 5 on the upper part thereof. Under said impingement plate 5 a hopper 7 is provided, just in the downstream of which a baffle plate 8 is provided on the inside wall of the duct 2 in the upward direction. Accordingly, flue gas 3a which is relatively clean part of the flue gas 3 flows through an upper opening 5 of the impingement plate 4, bypassing said impingement plate, whereas flue gas 3b containing a large quantity of dusts runs against the impingement plate 4 and turns round; therefore, dusts carried by the flue gas fall into the hopper 7 to be discharged.
