PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of a GTO assuredly by outputting the gate pulse to GTO only when the voltage supply element for fate circuit and the voltage supply element for phase logic circuit are both built up for normal voltage. CONSTITUTION:A gate circuit 3 outputs the gate pulse to a GTO1, receiving the output of a phase logic of the GTO1. Voltage supply elements 4 and 5 are provided respectively to the phase logic circuit 2 and the gate circuit 3. The voltages of the voltage supply parts 4 and 5 are detected respectively by voltage detection circuits 6 and 7. The gate pulse is given to the GTO1 by the output of an AND gate 8, only when the voltages of both voltage supply parts 6 and 7 rise up in normal state.
