PURPOSE: A smart grid system using a set top device is provided to preferentially receive contents from the set top device grouped by a predetermined standard, thereby transmitting the contents at low expenses in a short time. CONSTITUTION: A first network device in a plurality of network devices(20,30) receives a transmission request of contents from one request set top device in a first set top group(20-1 to 20-3). One network device determines whether or not the content is stored in the first set top group. When the content is stored in the first set top group, the first network device is included in the first set top group by the request set top device and receives the content from one or more object set top devices.
