The present invention relates to a scoops device with circular movement, consisting of an inclined support tube 1 around which there are wound pipes 3 which are open at both their ends. By causing this inclined tube to revolve about its axis 5 oriented at approximately 0 to 80 DEG with respect to the horizontal, each scoop 4 at the end of a turn 3 gathers liquid each time it is immersed in this liquid, and the liquid taken up is held by gravity at first at the bottom of the first coil which itself moves progressively upwards during the rotation. The spiral-shaped pipe may be produced directly between two concentric support tubes separated by a spiral-shaped spacer of the same pitch. The cross-section of this pipe is therefore square or rectangular, but the effect is the same with a higher output. For large installations, the empty space inside the central tube constitutes a possible inspection passage. The liquid take-up must be kept at a constant level with respect to the surface of the layer 7. This is done by means of floats supporting the lowest bottom element of the tube. <IMAGE>
