PURPOSE:To narrow a recording track pitch by adjusting the interval between the 1st and 2nd signal scanners so as to be an integral number of multiple of the recording track pitch of recording tracks recorded and formed on a rotary recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The degree of screwing of a supporting member Cs implanted to the support F into a pivot 23 for position adjustment is adjusted while a supporting member Ch for a magnetic head and a supporting member Cs for a reproducing stylus are connected to a support F of the signal scanner assembly. In this case, the supporting member Cs is turned around the tip of the pivot 22 so that the distance between the magnetic head H fixed to the tip of the supporting member Ch and the reproducing stylus S fitted to the tip of the supporting member Cs is changed depending on the degree of screwing the supporting member Cs implanted to the support F into the pivot 23 for position adjustment. Thus, said distance is adjusted to a proper distance by the adjustment of screwing the supporting member Cs into the pivot 23 for position adjustment, that is, an integral number of times of the recording track pitch of the rotary recording medium.
