PLANETARY GEAR TRAIN OF AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FOR VEHICLES

PURPOSE: A planetary gear train of an automatic transmission for a vehicle is provided to improve power transmission performance by implementing transmission of a forward ninth speed and a reverse first speed. CONSTITUTION: An input shaft(IS) receives rotatory power of an engine. An output shaft(OS) outputs shifted rotation power. A first planetary gear set(PG1) reverse rotates and outputs selectively inputted rotation power. A second planetary gear set(PG2) decelerates and outputs regularly inputted rotation power. A combined planetary gear set shifts and outputs reverse rotation power, decelerated rotation power, and rotation power. Eight rotation members(TM1-TM8) are composed of mutually connected rotation elements and a single rotation element. Eight friction members(C1-C4, B1-B2) are composed of clutches and brakes. The clutch is interposed among selected rotation members. The brake is interposed between selected rotation members and a transmission housing(H). [Reference numerals] (AA) Input; (BB) Output
