PURPOSE: An ILM(Incremental Launching Method) for constructing an upper slab of a composite bridge using air wheels is provided to reduce the construction period for a bridge by facilitating launching of an upper slab. CONSTITUTION: An ILM for constructing an upper slab of a composite bridge using air wheels(510) comprises the steps of: installing a steel box girder(200) with a rotary shaft fixing plate(220) in an abutment or pier, installing a steel rotary shaft(520) coupled with air wheels in the rotary shaft fixing plate, manufacturing upper slab segments in a launching site behind the abutment, consecutively launching and installing the upper slab segments at the top of the steel box girder using the air wheels, removing the air wheels and the steel rotary shaft after completion of an upper slab, combining the upper slab with an upper flange. |
