PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing metallic exterior materials for a mobile device using the welding of different kinds of molded articles is provided to prevent a welding line from being formed by polishing and surface-processing the surface of welded articles after butt-welding different kinds of the press molded articles. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing metallic exterior materials for a mobile device using the welding of different kinds of molded articles is as follows. More than at least two individual parts(1,1') are respectively molded. The pressed individual parts are attached to a jig and a contact portion of the individual parts is engaged to a gap within 0.05mm. The contact portion of the individual parts is welded by laser under argon gas atmosphere to produce joined products. A welded portion of the joined products are polished. At least one of a gloss polishing process, a hairline forming process, and a sanding process is applied to the surface of the joined products. |
