摘要 <p>PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for measuring the water component characteristic of an object is provided to measure the visibility of atmosphere or the state of water on the surface of the earth and measure the size of particles forming cloud and the state of the cloud. CONSTITUTION: A laser radiating part(111) radiates laser signals containing a plurality of wavelengths to an object. A signal processing part(114) receives a laser scattering signal scattered by the object and separates the laser scattering signal by wavelengths. A measuring part(115) measures the characteristic of the object using the separated laser scattering signal. The signal processing part receives one of Raman scattering signal due to ices, Raman scattering signal due to vapor, and Raman scattering signal due to droplet.</p>
