PURPOSE: Martensitic stainless steel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to offer the martensitic stainless steel insensitive to a strip breakage by preventing the generation of cracks on an edge portion. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing high-carbon martensitic stainless steel with an excellent surface quality is as follows. The high-carbon martensitic stainless steel is cold-rolled using a sendzimir rolling mill(100). The total number of passes is five or less. A reduction ratio per pass is 15~25%. An input tension to an output tension is 45~55%. The total number of passes is three, and comprises one to three passes. |
