EARLY SELECTION METHOD OF FAST GROWING TREE WITH GROWING TRAIT

PURPOSE: An early selection method of rapid growing trees is provided to select trees of which the seedlings height growth rate upon the growth period is excellent, or the outgrowth according to the growing trait analysis of one-year old seedlings after sowing forest tree seeds is excellent. CONSTITUTION: The dried weight of above-ground part of one-year old seedlings which have grown after sowing forest tree seeds is measured. Trees in which the dried weight of above-ground part is within top 20% are selected. The dried weight of above-ground part of one-year old seedlings(1-0 seedling) which have grown after sowing forest tree seeds is measured. Trees in which the dried weight of above-ground part is within top 10-20% are selected. Young seedlings having the gibberellin content within top 10-20% among seedlings obtained after sowing forest tree seeds are selected. The dried weight of above-ground part of one-year old seedlings(1-0 seedling) which have grown after sowing forest tree seeds is at least one selected from the whole dried weight, dried weight of needle, and dried weight of the stem and needles. The forest tree seed is any one selected from somatic cell-originated plants or trees having granule seeds.
