PURPOSE: A novel Bacillus licheniformis NB 109(KCTC 12256BP) with antibacterial activity is provided to ensure a broad antibacterial spectrum against various bacteria and to be used in agrochemicals, medicines, and cosmetic products. CONSTITUTION: A Bacillus licheniformis NB 109(KCTC 12256BP) has cytotoxicity against cancer cells. The strain has 16S rRNA sequence of sequence number 1. The strain has an antibacterial activity against Bacillus sp., Staphylococcus sp., Pseudomonas sp., Escherichia coli, Candida sp., Proteus sp., Erwinia sp., or Ralstonia sp. The strain has cancer cell-specific cytotoxicity.
