PURPOSE: A tidal current blocking device for an intake tower is provided to prevent inflow of tides or other suspended solid by easily elevating a cutoff membrane depending on change of water level in a water intake. CONSTITUTION: A tidal current blocking device for an intake tower comprises a cutoff membrane(100), a fixed buoyant unit(200), and a variable buoyancy unit(300). The cutoff membrane prevents inflow of tides or other suspended solid when raw water flows in an intake tower(10) through an intake(11). The fixing buoyancy unit is installed in the upper part of the cutoff membrane and maintains the cutoff membrane in a state of a suspended solid in the raw water. The variable buoyancy unit is installed in the lower part of the cutoff membrane and moves the lower part of the cutoff membrane located in the raw water to the upward direction and to the downward direction. |
