PURPOSE: A twin torch type strip welding device is provided to shorten the time for a strip welding required comparatively with a strip welding and to remove the delay the entire welding time even in case of forming a non-welded part for detecting a welded part. CONSTITUTION: A twin torch type strip welding device comprises a supporting part(300), a guide portion(400), a welding unit(110), a movable part(120), a gap controller(130), and a control unit. The supporting part is equipped on the weld line of the latter and preceding strips. The guide portion is fixed on the supporting part and provided along the weld line. The welding unit moves along the guide portion, and includes a first torch and a second torch which simultaneously performs welding work. The movable part moves the welding unit along the guide portion. The gap controller controls the gap between the first and second torches. The control unit performs a welding work by controlling the welding unit, the movable part and the gap controller. The welding unit includes an additional pair of wire drums supplying welding wires to each torch. The supporting part includes a pair of vertical support portions perpendicularly placed from both ends of the weld line and a horizontal supporting part connecting the upper ends of a pair of vertical support portions. |
