<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire tread, which is improved in wear resistance to a level equal to or higher than a conventional level while reducing rolling resistance when the composition is formed into a tire, by compounding carbon black having controlled colloidal characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The composition includes 5 to 60 pts.wt of carbon black and 0.5 to 15 pts.wt of thermally expandable microcapsules, compounded based on 100 pts.wt of diene rubber. The carbon black shows a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area N<SB POS="POST">2</SB>SA of 55 to 95 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g and a DBP absorption amount of 110 to 160 ml/100 g. When a mode diameter Dst (nm) in a mass distribution curve of Stokes diameters of aggregates of the carbon black and the N<SB POS="POST">2</SB>SA are represented by a relational formula of Dst=α(N<SB POS="POST">2</SB>SA)<SP POS="POST">-0.61</SP>, the coefficient α is 1979 or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
