<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cowl grille structure of a vehicle, capable of improving pedestrian protection performance and capable of preventing a front part of a cowl grille from being deformed by heat from an engine and an exhaust pipe. <P>SOLUTION: The cowl grille structure of the vehicle includes the cowl grille 20 in which an upper support part 29 arranged along a back edge of a hood 19 and a lower support part 30 placed on a cowl front panel 18 are almost horizontally formed in upper and lower positions in the front. A heat shield plate 60 is provided over the upper and lower support parts 29 and 30 of the cowl grille 20, in a part with a high heat load on the engine compartment 12 side of the cowl grille 20; a lower part of the heat shield plate 60 is connected to the lower support part 30 of the cowl grille 20 by means of a fastener 69; and a first weak part 66 for decreasing strength of connection between the heat shield plate 60 and the lower support part 30 is formed regarding the downward relative displacement of the heat shield plate 60 with respect to the lower support part 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
