<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device capable of obtaining a favorable image even for a recording medium with abundant irregularities by using an AC-DC superposition bias in which an AC voltage is superposed on a DC voltage and capable of being configured in a compact fashion. <P>SOLUTION: An image formation device includes an image carrier on which a toner image is formed and a transfer member opposed to or in contact with the image carrier. A transfer electric field is formed by applying an AC-DC superposition bias, in which a DC voltage and an AC voltage are superposed, between the image carrier and the transfer member. The action of the transfer electric field can transfer the toner image on the image carrier onto a recording medium. A power source module having a power source that outputs the AC-DC superposition bias is detachable to an image formation device body.
