<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of viewing a content without largely deteriorating image quality when the selected content is the content with a three-dimensional stereoscopic image signal included therein and even when the resolution of the image format is lower than original resolution. <P>SOLUTION: An image display device includes: a signal discrimination part for discriminating whether an image signal included in a selected content is a three-dimensional stereoscopic image system at low resolution or not; a content information acquisition part for acquiring content substance identification information when the image signal is discriminated to be the three-dimensional stereoscopic image system at low resolution; a content information search part for searching a different content that has a substance being the same as that of the content and has been included at resolution higher than the resolution of the content on the basis of the content substance identification information and the three-dimensional stereoscopic image system; and a content selection part for switching the content into the different content when the different content is found, and outputting it to a display part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
