<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope apparatus ensuring synchronization of imaging and display. <P>SOLUTION: A phase-comparison oscillation control unit 156 is configured to compare the phases of a monitor synchronization signal 166 and a processor-side imaging clock 164, and is configured to control the oscillation of a master imaging clock generating unit 154 based on the result of that comparison.
