<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt inspecting device that improves accuracy in detection of damage of a belt in a width direction. <P>SOLUTION: A belt inspecting device 30 inspects damage on a surface of a thin metal belt 18 showing a nearly rectangular cross section having an outline including a flat inner portion 20 and a flat outer portion 22 that are formed in predetermined directions and curved side portions 29a, 29b. The device comprises: green light sources 56, 58 outputting first illumination light to the curved side portions 29a, 29b along the predetermined directions; color cameras 40, 42 photographing, from front faces of the curved side portions 29a, 29b, the illumination light reflected by the curved side portions 29a, 29b; and a surface condition determination part 78 for determining a surface condition of the thin metal belt 18 on the basis of an image where the illumination light is photographed by the color cameras 40, 42. The surface condition determination part 78 measures a width of the photographed illumination light and determines whether there is damage in a width direction between the flat inner portion 20 and the flat outer part 22 of the thin metal belt 18 on the basis of the width of the illumination light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
