PURPOSE: A valve assembly for a gas torch is provided to maintain the reliability of the operation of a valve by preventing the compressive deformation of a head unit caused by an excessive surface-contact as a portion of the bottom of a valve pin is in contact with an upper surface of the contact projection unit. CONSTITUTION: A valve assembly for a gas torch comprises a valve body(210), an inflow passage(211), an outflow passage(212), a contact projection unit(260), a valve pin(240), and a head unit(250). The inflow passage communicates with an internal space of a communicating hole(215) of the valve body by being penetrated through the inside of the valve body. The oxygen or gas flows in through the inflow passage and is discharged through the outflow passage. The outflow passage communicates with a portion of a mounting hole(213) of the valve body adjacent to a portion where a seating surface(214) of the valve body is formed by being penetrated through the inside of the valve body. The contact projection unit is protruded in the seating surface of the valve body. The valve pin is installed to be moved along the inside of the mounting hole of the valve body by the operation of a control knob(230). The head unit is selectively adhered to the contact projection unit with a part of an end portion of the valve pin, thereby closing the communicating hole.
