<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield connector that facilitate insertion work of a terminal even when the length of a shield wire to be peeled is short, and an assembly method of the shield connector. <P>SOLUTION: A shield connector 11 comprises: an inner housing 15 including a plurality of terminal housing chambers into which terminals 13 crimped to a plurality of shield wire terminals of a shield wire 37 are inserted; and a shield shell 19 including a shield part 77 that covers the inner housing 15 and a barrel part 79 that crimps and fixes a sheath part 43 of the shield wire 37.
