<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple type tester for testing an operation of a smoke detector, which is light-weight and small-sized and is hard to affect sensitivity maintenance of the detector or safety of a checker, as a substitute of an incense type smoke sensitivity tester using incense. <P>SOLUTION: In a simple type tester for a smoke detector, water vapor generated from an attached electronic cigarette 13 is sucked when a bellow section 7 which expands and contracts by being pinched by a hand 11 expands, and is discharged through a check valve 21 when the bellow section 7 contracts, and is guided to a smoke detector 5 by a guide ventilation passage 35 to operate the smoke detector 5. The mechanism, regardless of a photoelectric type and an ionization type, allows the smoke detector 5 to sufficiently operate even by water vapor other than smoke. The use of the electronic cigarette 13 in place of a gas cylinder reduces the weight of the tester. The smoke detector 5 is operated by water vapor from the electronic cigarette 13, preventing function maintenance of the detector and safety of a checker from being affected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
