<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a composite scintillator more simply through a simplified manufacturing process. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing a composite scintillator composed of at least two kinds of materials having uniaxial optical waveguiding properties, which comprises the steps of: causing the melt of scintillator materials to be interposed between multiple fibers; congealing the melt between the fibers; and cutting and polishing the congelation into a desired shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
