<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a time and a cost required for an evaluation of antimicrobial performance of an antimicrobial agent, provide a simple evaluation method by an indirect method without performing a bacterial cultivation in the evaluation of the antimicrobial performance of the antimicrobial agent, and provide a method for evaluating the antimicrobial performance of each part of antimicrobial finished products with various shapes. <P>SOLUTION: The method for evaluating antimicrobial performances of antimicrobial finished products evaluates the antimicrobial performances of the antimicrobial finished products formed by exposing at least one part of the antimicrobial agent thereto. The evaluation method acquires an image of a region of interest that is set on the surface of an antimicrobial finished product, obtains an exposure rate representing a degree of exposure of the antimicrobial agent exposed from the surface in the region of interest, obtains antimicrobial performance corresponding to the exposure rate obtained from the image on the basis of a correlation between the previously obtained exposure rate and the antimicrobial performance of the antimicrobial finished product, and evaluates the antimicrobial performance of the antimicrobial finished product by the obtained antimicrobial performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
