<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicator which facilitates application amount adjustment, enables an application width and an application film thickness to be constant at the time of application, and further simplifies cleaning of the whole of an applying part. <P>SOLUTION: The applicator includes a container 10 which holds an application liquid 14, a cap 20 detachably attached to the container 10, a handle part 25 provided to the cap 20, and the applying part 30 which applies the application liquid prepared ahead of the handle part 25. A bottom surface portion of the applying part 30 has a shallow recess and is substantially plane including the recess.
