<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a commodity from being stolen at a retail store. <P>SOLUTION: After the commodity is received by the retail store, a printer 10 is used to print an identifier including brand representation of the retail store on a package of the commodity in the retail store. A marking device 10 as the printer includes a roller 4 which has a plurality of pins or protrusions 5 for marking a dot character string provided on a circumferential surface, a rotary shaft 3 which supports the roller rotatably, and a guide 2 which supports the rotary shaft. The plurality of pins or protrusions 5 are arranged in such a manner that the identifier including the brand representation of the retail store is marked on the package of the commodity by the rotation of the roller 4 while the protrusions are pressed against the package of the commodity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
