<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for performing function addition/update of software utilized by a user without interrupting a series of user operations while using the software. <P>SOLUTION: An application function realized by executing an application program by a computer determines whether or not installation of an extended function is required on the basis of a received user operation, and when it is determined that the installation of the extended function is required, holds information which specifies the extended function required to be installed in a memory, activates an installer of the extended function required to be installed, and then ends execution of the application program. When the application program is activated by the installer after the installation is completed, the application function activates the extended function installed by the installer on the basis of the specifying information held in the memory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
