<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably detect half-locking by securing the operation stroke of a switch, and also to improve productivity without requiring component position adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: A rice cooker includes an outer lid 3 for covering the upper part of a body 1. The outer lid 3 includes a hook lever 15 having a plane part 15c, a support part 15b, and a hook part 15a. The body 1 includes: a hook reception part 17 for locking the hook part 15a when the outer lid 3 is closed; a cantilever 32 to be abutted onto the plane part 15c to be moved by being pushed; a switch 34; a lever shaft 10a for supporting the cantilever 32; and a lever spring 38 for energizing the cantilever 32. The cantilever includes: a cantilever tip part 32d arranged on one side and abutted onto the plane part 15c; a switch push part 32a arranged on the opposing end and pushing the actuator 34a of the switch 34; and a nearly U shape groove 32c arranged at the nearly center part, opened toward the hook part 15a, and held by the lever shaft 10a.
