<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smart key system having high user-friendliness. <P>SOLUTION: The smart key system includes: reception means 20 receiving a high-frequency signal RF from a smart key 10 by an in-vehicle compartment antenna 21; and collation control means 30 collating the high-frequency signal, and the smart key system enables an engine 51 to be started by operating an engine switch 52 when the smart key is detected to be present in the vehicle compartment. The reception means uses the in-vehicle compartment antenna to confirm whether the high-frequency signal is received when the engine switch is turned off during the start of the engine. When the reception means does not receive the high-frequency signal, the collation control means announces that the smart key is not present in the vehicle compartment and whether the engine switch may be turned off, and announces a next-time engine starting method when the high-frequency signal is not authenticated through collation although the high-frequency signal is received by the reception means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
