<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair with an operating device with which the depth and lengthwise direction of a seat can be rapidly adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: The chair is structured as follows: an operating tool 58 is attached to a slide outer shell 10 so as to flexibly slide back and forth; the front part of a seat inner shell is deformed to adjust the depth of the seat when the slide outer shell 10 moves back and forth; a lock member 59 is attached to the slide outer shell 10 so as to flexibly slide from side to side; the outer edge part of the lock member 59 is placed in the recessed portion 66 of the operating tool 58; the inside surface of the recessed portion 66 is formed into slanted guiding surfaces 66a, 66b spread in a V-shape state; and the lock member 59 advances and separates from a stopper receiving part (engaging part) set to a fixed outer shell even if the operating tool 58 is moved in any direction of forward and backward directions. Accordingly, both a lock release operation and a move operation for the slide outer shell 10 can be performed by a single action to move the operating tool 58 for moving the slide outer shell 10 in a desired move direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
