<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a terminal metal fitting from being easily bent by restraining excess thickness in a bending step. <P>SOLUTION: A female terminal 20 formed by punching and bending a metal plate material comprises a connection cylinder part 21 conductively connected to a mating terminal, a barrel part 22 formed narrower than width of the connection cylinder part 21 and caulked and crimped to a terminal of an electric wire W, and a coupling part 23 connecting the connection cylinder part 21 and the barrel part 22.
