<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter which can functionalize various types of optical systems appropriately for a lens interchangeable type camera system. <P>SOLUTION: An adapter comprises: a first mount unit to/from which a camera body is attachable and detachable; a second mount unit which is provided independently of the first mount unit, and to/from which an interchangeable lens is attachable and detachable; and an adapter control unit to acquire camera body identification information identifying individual camera bodies and transmitted from the camera body attached to the first mount unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
