<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purification catalyst having excellent exhaust gas purification performance under a relatively low temperature condition and excellent heat endurance, and to provide a method of producing the exhaust gas purification catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas purification catalyst includes: at least one Group-XIII element oxide; at least either one of at least one lanthanoid oxide and at least one Group-IV element oxide; and particles including at least one base metal selected from a group comprising copper etc. An average particle size of the particles including the base metal is 1-1,000 nm. An average distance between the particles including the base metal and the Group-XIII element oxide nearest to the particles is 60 nm or less, and an average distance between the particles including the base metal and the lanthanoid oxide and/or the Group-IV element oxide nearest to the particles is 60 nm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
