<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strength improving agent for the production of polyurethane foam, with which polyurethane foam having high mechanical properties can be produced, and to provide a polyol composition for the production of polyurethane foam, the composition containing the strength improving agent. <P>SOLUTION: The strength improving agent (K) for the production of polyurethane foam has a structure formed by polycondensation of a polycarboxylic acid and an active hydrogen-containing compound (H). The polycarboxylic acid includes an aromatic carboxylic acid (A) having a valence of 3 or more as an essential component.
