<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, apparatus and method for detection of a moving body position and a computer program capable of quickly and accurately detecting and correcting a moving body position after turning right or left. <P>SOLUTION: When it is detected that a vehicle turns right or left at a branch point, a front slippage M which is the maximum detection error generable in the traveling direction of a vehicle relative to the actual vehicle position and a rear slippage N which is a maximum detection error generable in the direction opposite to the traveling direction of the vehicle when the vehicle turns right or left at the branch point are calculated on the basis of a traveling aspect (turned right or left) at the branch point of the vehicle, the presence/absence of an opposite lane of an approach road and the number of lanes thereof (S17, S18).
