<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece chuck device usable to a heavy workpiece as well as being applicable to a small-diameter hole of a workpiece. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a chuck device 1 for holding a workpiece W utilizing a small-diameter hole 20 formed in the workpiece W. The chuck device includes a columnar body 4 provided with a step 11 abutting against the workpiece W and an cutout 12 in the vicinity of its distal end; a piston rod 5 movable in forward and backward directions while penetrating the center of the columnar body 4 and provided with a bored portion 13 having an upper protrusion 14 and a lower protrusion 15 in the vicinity of its distal end; and a chuck claw 8 comprising claws 6, 7 rotatably fitted into a pair of pins 16, 17 provided in the cutout 12 of the columnar body 4 as well as allowing arms 6b, 7b to abut against the upper protrusion 14 or the lower protrusion 15. When the piston rod 5 advances and thereby the upper protrusion 14 abuts against the arms 6b, 7b of the claws 6, 7, the distal ends 6a, 7a of the claws 6, 7 protrude from a peripheral surface 4d of the columnar body 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
