<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to exactly and properly learn a recovery operation procedure according to the kind of an error in short time by generating an error corresponding to a selected error mode and outputting and displaying the recovery operation procedure corresponding to the selected error mode, and to shorten recovery time required when an error is actually generated. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus for forming an image on a medium includes: storage means for storing information about a plurality of error modes; error mode selection means for selecting one error mode from the plurality of error modes; error generation means for generating an error corresponding to the selected error mode; recovery operation procedure notification means for notifying the recovery operation procedure corresponding to the selected error mode; and message display means for displaying a message on the basis of a device state of the image forming apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
