<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily producible lid material in which a base material of a hot water draining section is strengthened not to cause unexpected breakage because such breakage can cause inconvenience in draining water or separating. <P>SOLUTION: The lid material is a laminated sheet for welding and sealing the peripheral edge of a container to be covered. The material includes a front face material including at least a paper layer 31 and a seal base material having a lamination structure not including a stretched plastic film and at least whose innermost layer formed of a sealant layer 41.
