PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut down calculation amounts needed for estimating propagation losses in propagation paths above buildings.
SOLUTION: Among buildings located on a straight line between a transmitter and a receiver, a building closest to the transmitter and a building closest to the receiver are determined. Then, a wall surface closest to the transmitter among the wall surfaces of the building closest to the transmitter and a wall surface closest to the receiver among the wall surfaces of the building closest to the receiver are determined. On the assumption that at the positions of the two wall surfaces there exist edges having the heights of the respective buildings, a first propagation loss in paths above the buildings from the transmitter to the receiver is estimated on the basis of a double knife edge diffraction loss model.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
