<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the distance to a specific object to be accurately measured by using a plurality of image pickup means differing from each other in wavelength characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A prescribed area is photographed from different viewpoints with a first image pickup device 12 and a second image pickup device 14 differing from each other in the wavelength band of sensitivity. A human skin area is extracted with an object extracting unit 32 from each of the photographed images on the basis of pre-determined conditions regarding the reflection intensity of each of optical wavelength bands regarding human skins. Human skin areas extracted from the photographed images are aligned in position by an aligning unit 34 to calculate the parallax quantities in the human skin areas. The distance to the person is measured by a distance measuring unit 36 on the basis of the calculated parallax quantities, and spectroscopic data of the human skin areas are generated by a spectroscopic data generating unit 38. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
