<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke shielding structure which causes no gap between a hall door panel and a hall door panel or between a hall door panel and a jamb when a fire occurs. <P>SOLUTION: A smoke shielding device for an elevator door includes the jamb provided in a getting on and off section between an elevator hall of a building and a hoistway, the hall door panel arranged opposed to the jamb in a manner to move in a horizontal direction that opens and closes the getting on and off section by its movement, and a rubber tube attached to the gap of the hall door panel, which is composed of an elastic body.
