<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an element that has excellent power generation performance when used for a solar battery and a solar battery having the element mounted thereon. <P>SOLUTION: An element has a silicon substrate, an electrode layer A, and an electrode layer B, which are laminated in the order named. The electrode layer A is a fired product of an electrode paste composition A that contains phosphorus-containing copper alloy particles, tin-containing particles, glass particles, solvent, and resin, the content of tin is 1 mass% or more.
