<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag that secures strength in joining a base cloth as well as reducing manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: An air bag 10 includes a pair of base cloth bodies 31, 31 facing each other and a joint section 32 for elastically joining the base cloth bodies 31, 31. The joint section 32 is composed of a body joint section 47 joining the base cloth bodies 31, 31, and an extended joint section 48 extending inward from the body joint section 47 and joining the base cloth bodies 31, 31. Shock to be applied to the body joint section 47 in an expansion impact can be reduced due to extension or rupture of the extended joint section 48, thereby securing strength in joining the base cloth bodies 31, 31. The manufacturing cost can be reduced by rational sewing thread and stitching specifications for joining the base cloths bodies 31, 31 or omission of sewing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
